Dental assisting training is a common path to EFDA. Two years of verified dental assisting work experience may also meet the prerequisite; admissions will review eligibility.
How long is EFDA training?
The EFDA program runs for six weeks. Upcoming starts: October 17, 2026, and January 30, 2027. Confirm class times, location, and open seats with admissions.
Does EFDA replace the DA program?
EFDA is advanced training for eligible assistants, not a separate starting program for someone new to dentistry.
